Hunter Michael Foley Obituary, Death; – A man who tragically lost his life in a workplace accident on Thursday morning in Skaneateles has been named.

The deceased individual was identified as Hunter Michael Foley, 27, from Watertown, as stated by Thomas Newton, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 10:36 a.m. on Thursday, Foley sustained severe injuries at 1725 Coon Hill Road when an excavator struck him in the head, according to dispatches from the Onondaga County 911 Center. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he subsequently passed away.
The incident is currently under investigation, as noted by Newton. The sheriff’s office has not disclosed any further information regarding the accident or the employer for whom Foley was working at the time.
Foley was a graduate of General Brown High School in Jefferson County, class of 2016, where he participated in hockey and lacrosse, as mentioned in his obituary. He later enrolled at Jefferson Community College, obtaining a degree in criminal justice in 2018 while continuing his lacrosse career.
Foley held various positions in the Watertown area and was most recently employed at Heller’s Gas, having started there earlier this month, according to his obituary. Heller’s Gas is a propane tank company located in Jefferson County.
