Tekeya McCollum Obituary, Death; – Cincinnati police have identified a woman who was shot and killed inside a Walnut Hills apartment on Tuesday.
Officers report that 31-year-old Tekeya McCollum succumbed to injuries sustained from a shooting in the 2600 block of Park Avenue.
As stated by Lieutenant Jerome Herring of the Cincinnati Police Department, officers responded to a report of gunfire in that area at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Upon their arrival, they conducted a search of the building and discovered a woman with a gunshot wound in a stairwell.
Emergency Medical Technicians attempted to perform life-saving procedures; however, the woman was declared dead at the scene.
The investigation is being managed by the Cincinnati Police Criminal Investigation Section.
Authorities indicate that there are currently no suspects in this case.
