Ella Cook Obituary, Death; – One of the two individuals who lost their lives in the mass shooting at Brown University has been identified, according to a report by the New York Post.

Ella Cook, a sophomore and the vice president of the Republican club at Brown University, was recognized by her parish in Alabama and a former classmate as one of the two students who died during the tragic event on Saturday, December 13. A priest from her Alabama parish referred to her as a “tremendous bright light” during a mass that was broadcast live on Facebook.

Alex Shieh, a former student at Brown University who left the institution last semester, also verified that Cook held the position of vice president in the Republican club at the Ivy League university, mentioning that she was among the few individuals willing to connect with him after he sent out a DOGE-themed email to thousands of administrators.

“Everyone at Brown who knew Ella, irrespective of their political views, regarded her as friendly and kind. My thoughts are with Ella’s family. Ella was a promising young leader taken from us too soon,” Shieh expressed in a post on X, which has since been removed.
