Jatinder Kaur Purewal Arrested; – A second suspect has been apprehended in relation to the murder of Jaspinder Singh in 2024, whose body was discovered inside a semi-truck near Delle in Tooele County.

Jatinder Kaur Purewal, aged 47, was arrested in California on November 20, 2025. In collaboration with the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, the Utah State Bureau of Investigation facilitated Purewal’s transfer to Utah, where she was subsequently booked into the Tooele County Jail.

Purewal is facing first-degree felony charges for aggravated murder and aggravated kidnapping, as well as second-degree felony charges for obstruction of justice.

Another individual, Jaswinder Singh Dhillon, was taken into custody in October 2024 and is similarly charged with first-degree felony aggravated murder and aggravated kidnapping.
Purewal has been identified by prosecutors as the ex-wife of Jaspinder Singh. Court records indicate that Purewal had previously made threats against Singh’s life. Their daughter reported feeling that “her mother was very capable of killing her dad,” as stated in the charging documents.

The charging documents also reveal that Purewal allegedly encouraged Dhillon to murder Singh.

Singh was discovered deceased in his truck in September 2024 after a coworker observed that his GPS had ceased moving at an I-80 on-ramp near Delle. He was found with numerous stab wounds to his neck and lower extremities, and his hands were bound with zip ties.

Investigators have determined that Singh was being followed by a Mercedes for a distance of at least 300 miles, stopping at gas stations where the semi-truck made stops.

The Mercedes was later located in Washington State, just weeks following the murder, where Dhillon was arrested. Court documents indicate that Dhillon made over 30 calls to Purewal while he was detained in the Clark County Jail in Washington.

Prosecutors assert that the two often expressed affection for one another, with Dhillon claiming he did not comprehend the reason for his arrest. Purewal informed him about media coverage of the murder, and Dhillon explained that his vehicle had broken down in Utah before he returned home.

“However, the two never discussed the fact that…
