Luis Ramirez Martinez Obituary, Death;- A 48-year-old worker tragically lost his life after falling 35 feet from a tree he was trimming and becoming impaled on a 10-foot iron fence in Canoga Park, as publicly identified on Tuesday.
The Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office confirmed his identity as Luis Ramirez Martinez.
Martinez fell at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Monday in the 7400 block of North Canoga Avenue, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
He was declared dead at the scene; however, details regarding the cause of the fall remain unavailable.
An urban search and rescue team employed a high-angle rope system to recover Martinez’s body, which was covered by crews to protect it from public view.
The Mayor’s Crisis Response Team arrived at the scene to offer emotional support to the victim’s co-workers.
