Alexander Leroux Obituary, Death; – The Medical Examiner’s Office of the county announced on Monday the identification of a pedestrian who lost his life in a hit-and-run incident in the Hillcrest area during the Thanksgiving weekend.

As reported by the ME’s Office, 58-year-old Alexander Leroux succumbed to “multiple blunt force injuries” at 12:38 a.m. on Sunday, following a collision with a vehicle.

According to the San Diego Police Department, officers and paramedics arrived at the 3500 block of India Street just before midnight on Saturday and discovered a man who had been hit by a car while attempting to cross the street mid-block.

The driver of a silver or gray sedan was heading north on India Street and approaching a green light at Vine Street when the pedestrian entered the vehicle’s path, as stated by the police. The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
