Rodney L Arbuckle Obituary, Death; – The McLean County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost his life after being struck by an SUV in Bloomington.
At 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, Rodney L. Arbuckle, aged 57, from Normal, was declared deceased at the hospital, according to Coroner Kathleen Yoder.
She stated that Arbuckle succumbed to head injuries sustained from the collision with the vehicle.
Man dies after being hit by SUV in Bloomington
The incident took place around 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday on Veterans Parkway, situated between Oakland Avenue and East Lincoln Street. The collision occurred on the roadway, where there is no designated crosswalk, as noted by Bryce Janssen, a spokesperson for the Bloomington Police Department.
Upon the arrival of officers, they initiated aid until the Bloomington Fire Department arrived on the scene. Arbuckle was subsequently transported to OSF Healthcare St. Joseph Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with the police during their investigation, Janssen reported. Given the seriousness of the incident, the McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team was called in to assist with the ongoing investigation, which is still active.
