Jayvon Bankhead Obituary, Death; – The Coroner of Sangamon County, Jim Allmon, has verified the identity of the person who was taken by EMS from the 400 block of East Washington Street in Springfield to Springfield Memorial Hospital on November 1 after suffering a gunshot wound.

Jayvon Bankhead, aged 22, from Springfield, was declared dead at 3:52 AM by the hospital personnel. An autopsy revealed that Bankhead succumbed to a single gunshot wound. The Springfield Police Department and the Sangamon County Coroner are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
