Traci Byrd Obituary, Death; – The McIntosh County District Attorney’s Office has identified both the victim and the suspect involved in a homicide that occurred near Council Hill on Tuesday.
According to the DA’s Office, 53-year-old Traci Byrd from Hugo was discovered deceased in a wooded area situated near Highway 72 and Highway 266, in proximity to Council Hill.
The suspect, 47-year-old Armando Mustafa Rojas Caceras, also hailing from Hugo, was located in a nearby barn with injuries indicative of a struggle.
The DA’s Office has stated that the investigation is still in progress and that charges are forthcoming. The official cause and manner of death will be established by the medical examiner.
