Charles Williams Obituary, Death;- Florida Highway Patrol troopers have confirmed the identity of the truck driver who lost his life in a devastating single-vehicle accident on October 19 on Interstate 75 as Charles Williams, 66, from Georgia.

Williams was employed at Boatright Trucking located in Alma, Georgia.

Troopers reported that they were able to positively identify Williams through distinct markings found on his body.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on October 19, the FHP received notification of a crash occurring on southbound I-75 near mile marker 370, which is situated 2 miles north of the County Road 318/Orange Lake interchange.

According to troopers, the heavy-duty truck was traveling south in the right lane when, for reasons yet to be determined, it veered off the interstate onto the right paved shoulder and collided with the guard rail.

The vehicle then continued south onto the grassy shoulder, striking multiple trees. The truck jackknifed, resulting in a portion of the cab detaching from the trailer.
Troopers noted that part of the trailer was burned, while the cab was entirely consumed by flames. Williams was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
