Alejandro Castaneda Obituary, Death; – A 19-year-old man from Round Lake Beach, identified as Alejandro Castaneda, was fatally shot in a drive-by incident on Friday night in Ingleside.

An autopsy conducted on Tuesday revealed that Castaneda succumbed to a gunshot wound to the chest, as reported by the Lake County Coroner’s Office. According to authorities, Castaneda was present at a birthday celebration on the 35700 block of North Wilson Road.

When police arrived in response to a report of gunfire around 11:15 p.m., they discovered Castaneda in the driveway. Despite attempts to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police reports.
Authorities indicated that a group had come to the party and engaged in a dispute with another group of attendees before departing. Subsequently, that group drove by and opened fire, hitting Castaneda, as stated by police.
