Sherry L Fischer Obituary, Death;- A woman from Idaho lost her life in a collision that occurred north of Elko.
On Sunday at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers from the Nevada Highway Patrol arrived at a section of State Route 225, situated about 85 miles north of Elko, following reports of an accident.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a red Chevy Captiva was traveling south when the driver was unable to properly navigate a left-hand curve, resulting in the vehicle veering off the left side of the road, ascending an embankment, and overturning.
The driver, who authorities report was not wearing a seatbelt, has been identified as 64-year-old Sherry L. Fischer from Jerome, Idaho. She suffered life-threatening injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
