Ora Pannell Slade Obituary, Death;- Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal rollover in which the vehicle hit a home in Pittsylvania County Sunday evening, October 5.
VSP troopers were notified of the rollover after 6:45 p.m. on Route 686, one half mile south of Route 40.
Police say the driver of a Ford Escape was traveling south, ran off the left side of the road, hit a ditch, overturned and hit a home, said Virginia State Police.
Troopers identified the the driver as 65-year-old Ora Pannell Slade of Gretna. Slade died at the scene; she was not wearing a seatbelt, according to troopers.
There were no reports of residents of the home being injured.
