Jacob Edward Obituary, Death; – Northport Police have identified a 41-year-old individual who lost his life on Sunday afternoon due to a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV on U.S. Highway 43.

Northport Police Department Assistant Chief Keith Carpenter informed local media on Monday morning that the incident occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. in the 5600 block of Highway 43, specifically in the northbound lanes, close to the intersection with Highway 171.

He stated that the accident involved a Yamaha motorcycle and a GMC Yukon. The motorcyclist, Jacob Edward Parris from Northport, was declared deceased at the scene.
Carpenter mentioned that there were no other reported injuries.

The Traffic Reconstruction Unit of the NPD is currently examining the circumstances surrounding the crash, and no criminal charges are anticipated.
