Lawrence James Leyvas Obituary, Death; – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a man who succumbed to injuries sustained from a stabbing incident in northwest Bakersfield early Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Lawrence James Leyvas, a resident of Bakersfield. According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Leyvas was stabbed at approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday in the northwest region of Bakersfield. He was subsequently transported to Mercy Hospital Southwest, where he was declared dead.
On Monday, officials from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office reported that the stabbing occurred in the vicinity of Jenkins and Hageman roads. The sheriff’s office has not released any additional details regarding the incident.
