Jerrico Lucas Huerena Obituary, Death; – The motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a crash in Henrico on Friday evening has been named by authorities. Jerrico Lucas Huerena, a 21-year-old resident, was pronounced dead at the scene after his motorcycle lost control while traveling on I-64, close to the westbound exit for Staples Mill Road.
According to a statement from state police, “A 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 400, operated by 21-year-old Jerrico Lucas Huerena of Henrico, attempted to overtake a 2018 BMW M4 in the left lane, colliding with the rear of the BMW.
The motorcycle then lost control and impacted the guardrail on the left shoulder.” It was noted that Huerena was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The driver of the BMW, a 30-year-old male from Henrico, sustained no injuries. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
