Ulises Montalvo Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the borough pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident the evening of Aug. 3.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said Aug. 5 that 61-year-old Ulises Montalvo of Coraopolis died around 8:40 p.m. Sunday, shortly after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Fourth Street at Main Street in the borough.
Police reported the male driver, whose name has not been released, fled the scene without stopping and was later tracked down through a license plate reader to his Ambridge residence. Police had not filed any charges as of Aug. 5, but media reports indicate he was taken into custody by federal Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as an undocumented immigrant. There was no information on where the man is from or how long he has been in the United States.
