Richard Daniel Forte Obituary, Death; – The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the pedestrian who was found dead on the Fourth of July after getting struck by a vehicle in south Bakersfield.
Richard Daniel Forte, 56, of Bakersfield was walking in the 8300 block of South Union Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle, according to officials. It is unknown when the crash happened.
Bakersfield police officers responded to a report of a person down on the shoulder of the northbound lanes at 9:39 a.m. July 4. Forte was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
