Anthony Tibbitts Obituary, Death: – Authorities in western Wisconsin are currently conducting an investigation into a deadly motorcycle accident that transpired over the weekend. The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office has reported that the incident occurred on the onramp from State Highway 35 to Interstate 94 in Hudson, with the crash being initially reported shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Officials have stated that a 56-year-old man from River Falls, Wisconsin, lost control of his motorcycle while navigating the onramp. He was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance but, unfortunately, was pronounced dead the following day, Sunday. The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Anthony Tibbitts.

The sheriff’s office has confirmed that Tibbitts was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, which may have exacerbated the severity of his injuries.

This tragic event contributes to the increasing number of road fatalities in Wisconsin. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, at least 388 individuals have lost their lives on the state’s roads in 2024. In St. Croix County specifically, there have been six traffic-related fatalities this year.

Additionally, just last month, another motorcyclist, aged 41, lost his life in a collision with a semi-truck in Kinnickinnic, Wisconsin, highlighting the persistent dangers faced by motorcyclists on the road.
