Kellie Slaughter Obituary, Death; – Authorities report that a woman discovered deceased in a house fire in southwest Oklahoma City last week exhibited injuries indicative of homicide.
Just prior to 7:40 a.m. on Thursday, law enforcement was summoned to assist in the investigation of a fire at a residence located near Southwest 76th Street and Youngs Boulevard. Officials from the Oklahoma City Fire Department indicated that their initial response to the scene was as a check-smoke call, where they observed smoke emanating from a single-story dwelling.
Firefighters conducted a search of the residence and located a woman. According to a news release issued by the police on Monday, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The Oklahoma City Police Department has identified the deceased as Kellie Slaughter, aged 45. Authorities stated that she sustained injuries consistent with homicide.
