Alan Gregory Willmes Obituary, Death; – A fatal accident involving an all-terrain vehicle occurred yesterday in southern Minnesota.
The Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office reported today that deputies were dispatched around 4 PM yesterday in response to a traffic accident involving a car and a side-by-side UTV. According to a news release, the collision took place at a rural intersection approximately 7 miles northeast of St. Peter.
As per the Sheriff’s Office, the initial investigation revealed that the car, operated by a 16-year-old girl from Le Sueur, was heading south on the county road when it struck the UTV, which was moving east on an intersecting gravel road.
The UTV driver was thrown from the vehicle during the collision and was declared dead at the scene. Sheriff Brett Mason identified the deceased as 82-year-old Alan Gregory Willmes from Le Sueur.
The teenage driver of the car sustained no injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office has stated that the investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing.
