Jonni Salazar Obituary, Death;- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has disclosed the identities of a woman who was fatally shot and a suspect who was apprehended following a standoff that occurred over the weekend in Bethany.

Shortly after 8 a.m. on Sunday, law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex located near Northwest 23rd Street and North Glade Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 30-year-old woman suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Despite the officers’ attempts to administer lifesaving measures, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

OSBI officials have identified the deceased woman as Jonni Salazar.

An investigation conducted by Bethany police in conjunction with OSBI special agents led to the identification of a suspect, who had barricaded himself inside one of the apartments. A tactical team was deployed to the complex, and members later located the suspect with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Alexander Berry, was transported to a local hospital, where OSBI officials reported that he is in stable condition.

The investigation remains ongoing. Upon its conclusion, the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office will decide on the charges to be filed against Berry.
