Consuelo Kerr Obituary, Death; – The victim in Sunday’s shooting and the suspect who was shot by Middletown police have been identified. The Butler County Coroner’s Office identified the woman killed in the shooting on Mohawk Street as 53-year-old Consuelo Kerr.
Around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Middletown police said officers were called to the area for a report of a woman who was shot by her husband. When officers arrived, police said they attempted to negotiate with her 60-year-old husband when the man fired a shot.
Police returned fire, hitting the man. The suspect died from the officers’ return fire, according to Frontline Advisors’ Dan Hils. That suspect was identified as Ronald Kerr, 60, the Butler County Coroner’s Office announced Monday. No officers were injured in the shooting.
