Quentin Dorsainvil Obituary, Death; – An 18-year-old male was fatally shot in the vicinity of Percy and Nepean streets in Centretown at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, according to Ottawa police reports.
On the following day, authorities identified the deceased as Quentin Dorsainvil, a resident of Ottawa. Additionally, another individual sustained gunshot wounds, was transported to a medical facility, and has since been discharged, as stated by the police.
Initially, law enforcement indicated that no suspects were in custody; however, by Monday afternoon, they announced the arrest of an individual on charges related to firearms and are investigating this person’s potential connection to the homicide. The incident took place in a residential neighborhood located behind an elementary school, slightly over a kilometer from Parliament Hill.
“We heard what I believed to be four or five gunshots, which I initially convinced my wife were fireworks,” remarked Alex Crombie, a nearby resident, in an interview with CBC. “It was only in the morning that we learned the truth.”
