Rashonda Greene Obituary, Death; – A 21-year-old has been charged with driving under the influence and causing the death of a woman from Gastonia in an accident, as reported by the Gastonia police.

Logan Taylor, aged 21, from Huntersville, faces charges of felony death by motor vehicle, driving while impaired, failing to stop at a solid red signal, and reckless driving.

According to a press release from the Gastonia Police Department, Taylor was operating a 2016 white Dodge Charger southbound on Armstrong Park Road at a high speed with his headlights turned off around 9:45 p.m. on Monday when he disregarded the red light at the intersection of East Hudson Boulevard and Gaston Day School Road.

His Dodge Charger collided with the driver’s side of a red Hyundai Elantra, which was being driven by 45-year-old Rashonda Greene, who was heading east on East Hudson Boulevard at the time of the incident.

Greene lost her life as a result of the crash. The police indicated that both excessive speed and alcohol played a role in the accident, as stated in the press release.

An 18-year-old male, who has been identified as the driver’s brother, was a passenger in the Dodge Charger. Both he and the driver suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
