Federico Gonzalez Obituary, Death; – Authorities have disclosed the identity of a man who was tragically killed while attempting to cross a highway.
On Monday, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the pedestrian who lost his life was 20-year-old Federico Gonzalez, who succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident.
Around 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, law enforcement responded to the site of a pedestrian accident located near the intersection of Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel.
Upon their arrival, police discovered a deceased individual lying in the primary lanes of Loop 410, with a pickup truck halted nearby close to the exit for I-35.
Investigators suspect that Gonzalez had departed from a nearby dance hall for reasons that remain unclear and attempted to traverse Loop 410 before being struck by a Toyota Tundra. The driver, 42-year-old Joseph Cortez, was assessed at the scene and reportedly found to be under the influence, leading to his arrest.
