Faye Ann Noel Obituary, Death; – A Holmes County man has lost a second appeal of his murder conviction for killing his aunt. In 2014, 36-year-old Kenneth Williams shot and killed Faye Ann Noel with a shotgun during an argument with his uncle at a holiday party. At the time, Noel was the warden for the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman. His first appeal was denied in December 2024.

He was convicted by a jury in 2020 and sentenced to life in prison without parole or early release. Williams appealed, claiming that hearsay testimony was allowed during his trial and that statements by prosecutors during closing arguments violated his right not to testify. His appeal was denied.
