Ruben Longoria Obituary, Death;- Authorities report that a suspect has been apprehended following the shooting death of a man in a west Phoenix neighborhood. The incident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. on May 28, in the vicinity of 61st Avenue and Indian School Road.
Phoenix Police indicate that officers arrived at the location and discovered 35-year-old Ruben Longoria with multiple gunshot injuries. Longoria succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Investigators have identified 42-year-old Johnny Olivarez Sr. as the suspect. He was located at a nearby residence and taken into custody. Olivarez Sr. has been booked into jail and faces charges of first-degree murder. The circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear.
