William Leroy Tomson Obituary, Death; – The Linn County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man killed in a crash Tuesday near Fairfax as 70-year-old William Leroy Tomson of La Vista, Nebraska.
According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, the crash took place at 80th Street and Beverly Road, north of Fairfax. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says at 3:44 p.m. Tuesday, it and other agencies responded to reports of a vehicle on its top in a ditch.
Deputies determined the vehicle had been traveling south on 80th Street when it left the road, entered a ditch, and hit a field drive before coming to a rest on its top. 80th Street between Beverly Road and Highway 30 was closed for a period of time.
The crash remains under investigation.
