Ashton Kitchen-White Obituary, Death; – A family has described a pedestrian who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident as ‘one in a million’. Ashton Kitchen-White, aged 19, lost his life after being struck by a red Ford Focus while crossing Middleton Ring Road in Beeston Park, Leeds, on Friday.
In a heartfelt statement, his family expressed their profound grief, stating, ‘We cannot convey the immense devastation we all feel. Although his life was taken from us in a cruel manner, he will forever be remembered for the truly beautiful soul he was.’ West Yorkshire Police reported that a 15-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man, who were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, have since been released on bail.
Mr. Kitchen-White’s family further remarked, ‘Ashton was truly one in a million, cherished by all his family and friends, and deeply loved by his brother and two sisters. At the age of 19, he was on the verge of beginning his medical studies at Leeds University. He had a passion for fitness and combat sports.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the overwhelming support and love they have received and kindly requests that their privacy be honored during this challenging time.’ Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses relevant dashcam or mobile phone footage to reach out to the police.
