William T. Amburgey Obituary, Death; – A man from Georgia has passed away following an accident in Cherokee County. The victim has been identified by State Troopers as William T. Amburgey, a 79-year-old resident of Acworth, Georgia.
Amburgey sustained injuries when the Toyota Tundra he was operating veered off the roadway, struck a culvert, collided with a private driveway, and subsequently overturned.
The incident occurred on September 6 along Alabama 9, close to Cherokee County 691. Amburgey was transported to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia for medical care, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries the following day. State Troopers are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
