Noah Scribner Obituary, Death; – School district officials have confirmed that the 17-year-old who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in American Fork Canyon was a student at Timpanogos High School. The young man, identified by family members as Noah Scribner, was operating a Honda motorcycle on SR-92 when he lost control while navigating a curve on Monday, May 12.
The Utah Highway Patrol reported that the motorcycle’s front wheel detached following the collision, resulting in severe injuries for Noah. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Timpanogos High School Principal Theron Murphy expressed condolences in an email to the school community, stating, ‘Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies are with his family and friends and to all those who knew and loved him.’ A family member has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral and memorial costs.
The fundraiser notes that Scribner was on the verge of graduating and preparing for a service mission with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rich Stowell, the Director of Communications for Alpine School District, informed ABC4.com that counselors were made available at the school to support students in the wake of Noah’s death.
‘When tragic events occur, we ensure that students have access to resources, and our professionals are prepared to offer that support,’ Stowell remarked. ‘This is something we handle effectively, even though the circumstances arise during the most challenging times.’
