Isaiah Moreno Death; – Last week, a pickup truck collided with a tour van near Yellowstone National Park, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals. According to Idaho State Police, the truck crossed the center line of the highway and struck the van.

Investigating officers have confirmed that the Dodge Ram pickup crossed the line on U.S. Highway 20, impacting the Mercedes passenger van. The cause of the driver, hailing from Texas, veering into oncoming traffic is still under investigation. The van was carrying a group of 12 Chinese tourists along with an Italian tourist, in addition to the driver. Tragically, five Chinese tourists, the Italian tourist, and the pickup driver perished in the incident, as reported by police and the respective consulates in San Francisco.

The pickup driver has been identified as 25-year-old Isaiah Moreno from Humble, Texas. The accident occurred on Thursday evening near Henry’s Lake State Park, located approximately 16 miles (26 kilometers) west of Yellowstone National Park. At the time of the collision, the truck was heading west while the van was traveling east towards Yellowstone. Footage from the scene indicated favorable weather conditions. Following the collision, both vehicles ignited, according to police reports.

DNA testing will be necessary to identify the remaining deceased individuals. Additionally, eight other passengers in the van sustained injuries. Due to the involvement of a commercial vehicle and the severity of the crash, the National Transportation Safety Board is conducting an independent investigation, with personnel already on-site reviewing evidence.

Recent data from the International Trade Administration indicates that 36% of international visitors arriving in the U.S. by air cited visits to national parks and monuments as their primary leisure activity during their stay.
