Keyun Marquez Hill Arrested; – Authorities in Alabama apprehended an individual after several witnesses reported observing a person with what seemed to be a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, commonly referred to as an RPG.

The Dothan police identified the suspect as 26-year-old Keyun Marquez Hill. Officials stated that Hill was taken into custody and charged with possession of a hoax destructive device. He was subsequently booked into the Dothan City Jail, and the device was confiscated by officers and entered into evidence.

Hill claimed to be a prankster creating content for social media. In Alabama, it is illegal to openly carry a toy firearm, although it is permissible to openly carry a real firearm. The law specifies, ‘It shall be unlawful for a person to manufacture, possess, transport, or distribute a hoax destructive device or detonator which would cause another to reasonably believe that it is real.’ Conversely, had Hill been carrying a handgun, shotgun, or even a semiautomatic rifle like an AR15, law enforcement would have had no grounds for arrest, as displaying such weapons in public is not prohibited. However, possessing an actual RPG would be unlawful.
