Zachariah Unruh Obituary, Death; – A motorcyclist lost his life on Saturday in an accident that occurred in rural Cass County, according to the sheriff’s office. The incident took place at approximately 4 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 34 and Kenosha Road, just west of the Nebraska-Iowa border.
A GMC Terrain was traveling south on Highway 34 when the driver attempted to turn into a driveway, inadvertently entering the path of the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist, identified as 30-year-old Zachariah Unruh from Auburn, collided with the vehicle and was thrown from his motorcycle, as reported by the sheriff’s office.
Unruh was declared dead at the scene, while no injuries were reported among the occupants of the GMC. An investigation is currently underway, and the sheriff’s office has indicated that charges may be forthcoming.
