Richard Thomas Obituary, Death; – Authorities are actively seeking a suspect following the discovery of a deceased man in Galveston on Thursday, whose vehicle has also been reported missing.
Galveston police received a call regarding an incident at an apartment complex located in the 8100 block of Seawall Boulevard shortly before 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Upon arrival, officers found an elderly man lying face down on the floor. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene, as confirmed by Galveston PD. The victim has been identified as 74-year-old Richard Thomas.
During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Thomas’ car was unaccounted for. Galveston PD has issued a “Be on The Lookout” (BOLO) alert for his 2017 black Chevrolet Cruz, which bears Texas handicap plates numbered 5WNRW.
Anyone with relevant information or who may have spotted the vehicle is urged to contact Galveston PD investigators at 409-765-3736. Additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding Thomas’ death has not yet been disclosed.
