Nadia A. Startzman Obituary, Death; – A fatal accident occurred over the weekend in Cumberland County, resulting in one death, as reported by the Pennsylvania State Police. The incident took place shortly before 12:25 a.m. on September 7, in the 2200 block of Newville Road (Route 641).
State Police indicated that a 2004 Ford Freestar was traveling eastbound on Newville Road when the driver fell asleep, leading the vehicle to veer off the right side of the road. The car collided with a utility pole and subsequently spun back into the westbound lanes. The passenger was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries, while the driver was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Nadia A. Startzman, a 20-year-old resident of Chambersburg. Additionally, a westbound vehicle on Newville Road at the time of the incident was struck by debris; however, the driver of that vehicle was unharmed. The Pennsylvania State Police are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
