Terrence Jeffery Obituary, Death; – The Lanett Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting incident. A person of interest has been identified; however, no arrests have yet been made.
At approximately 1:43 a.m. Eastern Time, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of 21st Street SW following reports of a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon their arrival, authorities identified the victim as Terrence Jeffery, a resident of Lanett. Mr. Jeffery had received a gunshot wound to the chest and was promptly transported to East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika for medical attention, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The Lanett Police Department is diligently pursuing this case and is encouraging anyone with pertinent information to come forward.
