Aysenur Ezgi Eygi Obituary, – A spokesperson for the British government expressed “deep concern” on Saturday regarding the death of Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, a 26-year-old Turkish-American activist who was shot and killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank.

This tragic event occurred during a period marked by increasing violence in the area. Eygi, recognized for her active participation in movements advocating for Palestinian rights, was fatally injured while protesting against illegal Israeli settlements in Beita on Friday. Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas reported that an autopsy revealed Eygi was struck by a sniper’s bullet to the head.

Despite immediate transport to a nearby hospital, she was pronounced dead upon arrival. In its statement, the British government underscored the necessity of protecting civilians and reiterated its demand for Israel to comply with international law. “It is crucial that civilians are safeguarded,” the spokesperson stated to Anadolu.

“We persist in urging Israel to adhere to international legal standards.” Eygi’s involvement in solidarity movements for Palestinian rights has ignited outrage and calls for accountability from both local and international communities. The Israeli military has not yet provided comments regarding the details of the incident or the autopsy results.
