According to Daviess County Coroner Jeff Jones, the deceased are Shane Fields, aged 44, and Jordan Dyer, aged 37, both residents of Washington, Indiana.
On Friday, emergency crews responded to reports of a collision involving a pickup truck and a semi-trailer. Authorities indicate that the semi was transporting rolled aluminum, and the collision resulted in the aluminum becoming dislodged. The incident necessitated the closure of U.S. 60 for approximately four hours.
