Jimmy Kent Offen Obituary, Death; – The Iowa State Patrol has confirmed the identity of a Martelle resident who lost his life in a collision on Wednesday morning in Jones County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a Ford Ranger operated by 77-year-old Jimmy Kent Offen was traveling west on Highway 151 near Basham Lane when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median, and collided head-on with a Chevy Impala. Offen succumbed to his injuries, while the driver of the Impala sustained injuries and was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment.
