Willie Gene Coleman Obituary, Death;- Police have identified the woman killed in a wrong way crash Tuesday night. 24-year-old Katana Perry was a passenger in one of the two cars hit by 74-year-old Willie Gene Coleman.
According to police, the crash happened around 11 p.m. when Coleman was driving down the wrong direction of Capital Boulevard near Star Road, crashing into two other cars. Police have also identified 36-year-old Barrett Carter as a driver of one of the cars hit by Coleman. He was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to be okay.
19-year-old Quidasiah Teachey was the driver of the other car hit by Coleman. Police said her injuries were minor. Coleman is facing charges of misdemeanor death by vehicle and driving wrong way on dual lane highway. He is still in the hospital in critical condition.
Police said they do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash. He is expected to be served once released from the hospital. Officers said the investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Wake Forest Police Department.
