Wendy Stinson Obituary, Death; – The county medical examiner’s office announced on Friday the identity of a 60-year-old woman who lost her life in a tragic two-vehicle accident in Acton.
Wendy Stinson, an Acton resident, perished in the incident that occurred around 4:35 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Crown Valley Parkway and Country Way, as reported by the CHP.
Initial investigations indicated that Stinson was a passenger in a 1994 Ford, which was being driven westward on Country Way by 67-year-old Richard Allen Lewis, also from Acton. “For reasons that are still being investigated,” the Ford collided with a 2005 Toyota driven north on Crown Valley Parkway by 61-year-old Robert C. Gibilterra from Agua Dulce, resulting in both vehicles overturning, according to CHP Officer D. Aldrete.
Stinson sustained fatal injuries. A report from the CHP noted that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. Both drivers were transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were reported to be minor, as stated by the CHP.
There were no indications that drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
Anyone with information regarding the collision is encouraged to contact the investigating officer at 661-743-6060.
