Tyrin M Mosby-Sherman Arrested; – A man from Kansas City is facing multiple charges after police discovered him outside a crashed stolen vehicle, attempting to flee with a small child accompanying him.

Records from the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri, filed on Friday, September 12, indicate that Tyrin M. Mosby-Sherman, 30, of Kansas City, is suspected of having crashed a stolen vehicle while a small child was present inside.

A probable cause statement submitted by the Kansas City Police Department disclosed that at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, officers near E. Linwood and Bellefontaine Avenue observed what they believed to be a collision.
Law enforcement officials noted that it seemed the Audi had collided with the rear of a white SUV.
They reported seeing the suspect, identified as Mosby-Sherman, approach the back door and extract a small child from the Audi A5. It was later determined that there was no child seat in the vehicle.

When the officers approached to inquire about the accident, they stated that Mosby-Sherman fled with the child. They also noticed what was later confirmed to be an extended magazine in his jacket pocket.

Investigators reported that they managed to catch up with Mosby-Sherman and instructed him to lie on the ground in a nearby driveway. He complied, with the child positioned beneath his body.

Ultimately, the Kansas City Police Department stated that the child was placed in their custody while Mosby-Sherman was taken into custody. During his arrest, the following items were discovered:

– a handgun equipped with a 20-round extended magazine
– a pill bottle containing three pills each of Oxycodone and Alprazolam
– four cell phones
– several vehicle fobs belonging to Ford, Audi, and Chevrolet
– $910 in cash
– 83 Suboxone tablets

During the investigation, law enforcement officials revealed that the Audi had been previously reported stolen from Kansas City.

In an interview with law enforcement officials, Mosby-Sherman asserted that he had never been involved in a crash and that he did not flee from the police.
He claimed he was merely walking with the child and that the police had stopped him solely due to his extended magazine.

Investigators said Mosby-Sherman also claimed that a doctor had prescribed the narcotics found on him. He did say that he understands how the actions he admitted to could put the child’s safety at risk.

As a result, Mosby-Sherman has been charged with child endangerment, resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with a motor vehicle.
