It is with profound sorrow that we report the tragic incident that unfolded overnight in downtown Orlando, resulting in multiple injuries to bystanders and the heartbreaking loss of two lives, including a member of our UCF community. We are deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence, which also left at least one other student injured and may have affected many others who were celebrating Halloween nearby.
