Tarcus Wilkes Arrested; – The third individual sought in connection with a shooting that resulted in the death of a two-year-old and injuries to four others was apprehended on Wednesday morning.
Tarcus Wilkes, aged 19, was arrested at approximately 9:30 a.m. by the Jackson Police Department in collaboration with the United States Marshals Service. This arrest follows the announcement by the Jackson Police Department that Wilkes was wanted on six counts of Attempted First Degree Murder and one count of Felony Murder. He is scheduled to face formal charges in Jackson City Court on Thursday morning.
On November 26, law enforcement officials responded to a report of a shooting on Wallace Road, where they discovered a two-year-old and four adults suffering from gunshot wounds inside an SUV.
The toddler succumbed to their injuries, while the adults were transported to local hospitals, according to reports. Javon Peterson, also 19, was arrested shortly after the incident. On December 4, another suspect, DeAndre Perry, was taken into custody.
