Rory Strachota Obituary, Death; – A man from Hopkins lost his life in an ATV accident in Itasca County on Sunday evening.
According to the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported shortly before 8 p.m. in the vicinity of 28716 Prairie Lake Road in Arbo Township, close to Grand Rapids. Emergency responders arrived to discover a man who had been thrown from an ATV and was declared dead at the scene.
He has been identified as 62-year-old Rory Strachota, a resident of Hopkins.
He was operating a 2000 Polaris ATV at the time of the accident. No other individuals sustained injuries in the event,
“The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office offers its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Strachota,” stated the sheriff’s office.
