Rafaela Galvez Obituary, Death; – The coroner’s office has confirmed the identity of a murder victim in Forrest County. On Tuesday, Forrest County Coroner Lisa Klem announced that the victim is 38-year-old Rafaela Galvez, a resident of Hattiesburg.
The individual suspected of Rafaela’s murder, 21-year-old Javier Galvez, also from Hattiesburg, was apprehended by the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, as indicated by the sheriff’s office jail roster. Coroner Klem stated that no further details will be disclosed at this moment, as Rafaela’s remains have been forwarded to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy scheduled for Thursday.
Currently, the nature of the relationship between the suspect and the victim remains unclear. The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office has indicated that they will strive to provide updates regarding the investigation before noon on Tuesday.
