Nicholas Danbrowney,Rosario Edgar Obituary, Death; Two men are dead, and one is injured after a collision into an embankment early Tuesday morning in Currituck County. The accident happened around 12:25 a.m. on NC 12 at North Harbor View.
Rosario Edgar, 65, was traveling north on NC 12 at a high rate of speed in a 2023 Ford Explorer. His vehicle then traveled off the road to the right, collided into an embankment and overturned several times. He was taken to Outer Banks Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The front seat passenger, identified as 22-year-old Nicholas Danbrowney, was unrestrained and ejected from the vehicle as it overturned. He died at the scene.
A third passenger in the vehicle was taken to Chesapeake Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Speed and no seatbelt contributed to the crash. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate the incident.
