Michael Hicks Obituary, – The Louisiana State Police are conducting an investigation into a fatal accident that occurred in Allen Parish, resulting in the death of a man from Missouri.
On August 30, shortly after 4:00 a.m., Michael Hicks, a 21-year-old resident of Mexico, Missouri, was crossing La. 372 heading west, just south of Tyler Road in Oakdale, as reported by state police. Concurrently, a vehicle was traveling southbound on La. 372. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still being examined; however, it has been noted that Hicks, dressed in dark clothing, entered the vehicle’s path and was struck.
Hicks was transported to a medical facility, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries, according to the state police. The driver of the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries. Standard toxicology samples were collected and are currently undergoing analysis.
